Day 2: Fly to Semera & Drive to Ahmed Ella
Morning flight to Semera. Drive to Lake Afdera and witness traditional salt evaporation. Overnight camping at Ahmed Ella.
Day 3: Dallol Hydrothermal Wonders & Erta Ale Volcano
Explore neon-colored salt formations and acidic springs at Dallol. See camel caravans at Ragad salt mines. Night hike to Erta Ale lava lake. Overnight camping.
Day 4: Scenic Drive to Hawzen & Abreha wa Atsbeha
Descend from Erta Ale and drive to Tigray. Visit Abreha wa Atsbeha rock-hewn church. Overnight in hotel.
Day 5: Gheralta Mountains & Abuna Yemata Guh
Climb to Abuna Yemata Guh church with 5th-century frescoes. Continue to Axum. Overnight in hotel.
Day 6: Axum Civilization Tour & Return to Addis
Visit UNESCO World Heritage sites in Axum including Stelae Park, Tombs of King Kaleb, Chapel of the Tablet, Queen of Sheba?s Palace. Fly back to Addis Ababa.
