Day 1: Arrival - Addis Ababa
Sightseeing in Addis Ababa including Mount Entoto, National Museum (Lucy fossil), Holy Trinity Cathedral, Ethnographic Museum, and Merkato market. Overnight in Addis.
Day 2: Addis Ababa - Awash National Park
Drive to Awash National Park. Visit Lake Basaka, Awash waterfalls, and wildlife. Overnight in Awash.
Day 3: Awash - Semera
Drive to Semera. Obtain Afar permits and meet scouts. Overnight in Semera.
Day 4: Semera - Hadar
Drive to Hadar, site of Lucy?s discovery. Camp overnight at Hadar.
Day 5: Hadar - Kombolcha
Morning at Hadar, then drive to Kombolcha. Overnight in Kombolcha.
Day 6: Kombolcha - Addis Ababa - Departure
Drive back to Addis Ababa via Awassa. Visit fish market and birdwatching at Lake Awassa. Evening folkloric dinner and coffee ceremony before airport transfer.
